Terms of Use

By accessing or using HealthSageAI (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (these "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. Your use of the Service also constitutes acceptance of our Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer.

If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, in which case "you" refers to that entity.

HealthSageAI is a health education and research platform that uses artificial intelligence to help you understand health information. Features include AI-assisted answers, source retrieval and citation, evidence context, research workspaces, topic comparison, paper explanations, doctor-visit question preparation, and research reports.

The Service offers multiple answer modes including Quick Answer, Explain Simply, Evidence Review, and Deep Research. Some features are only available with a paid subscription.

The Service provides health education and research assistance for informational purposes only. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice. The content generated by the Service is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

To access most features of the Service you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering and to keep your account information current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to create an account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine to be fraudulent or abusive.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Use the Service to seek a medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescription in place of professional care.
• Attempt to access another user's data, account, or workspace without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its security measures.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code or proprietary models.
• Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract content from the Service.
• Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on others' rights.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access the Service beyond reasonable personal use.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written permission.

The Service offers paid subscription plans including HealthSage+ and HealthSage Research. Plan features, pricing, and usage limits are described on our Pricing page. All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD). Subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually depending on the plan you select.

By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge the applicable fee to your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time; changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle unless otherwise stated.

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. You authorize the payment provider to charge your selected payment method for all fees associated with your subscription. If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is resolved.

Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as expressly provided in these Terms or required by applicable law. We may change our fees upon reasonable notice; fee changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following the notice.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period. You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which your account will revert to the Free plan.

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error or are entitled to a refund under applicable law, contact us at support@healthsageai.com and we will review your request. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have under consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

The Service, including its design, software, features, and original content, is owned by HealthSageAI and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.

Content you generate using the Service, such as your questions, notes, and saved research, remains yours. Source citations referenced by the Service belong to their respective publishers and are provided for your reference under applicable fair-use and educational principles. You are responsible for how you use third-party source material.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HealthSageAI disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete.

AI-generated responses may contain errors or may not reflect the most current research. You are responsible for verifying information against original sources and for consulting a qualified professional before making decisions based on Service content.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall HealthSageAI, its officers, directors, employees, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00) if you have not made any purchase. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Massachusetts for any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service.

Before filing a claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@healthsageai.com. This section does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief for intellectual property or confidentiality matters.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide a more prominent notice such as an in-app banner or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
